Dr. Alisha Beckrow, a distinguished academic, serves as the Marketing Department chair for Northwood University. The department includes the marketing, marketing communications, merchandising & fashion, sales management, innovation, and digital marketing programs.
She holds a PhD in Communication/Media, Society and Culture from Wayne State University, a Master of Arts in Communication/Multimedia from Saginaw Valley State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/ PR/Environmental Studies from Western Michigan University. Dr. Beckrow’s extensive research delves into the intricate relationship between media, society, and culture in the marketing, advertising, and communication industries.
Her professional journey includes invaluable experiences in marketing agencies, ranging from small firms to Fortune 500 companies. She is currently working toward industry-related certifications to add to her marketing management certification from the American Marketing Assocation.
In the classroom, Dr. Beckrow believes in creating an environment that facilitates student engagement and offers experiential learning opportunities, combining strategic thinking and creativity that builds skills students will use to achieve their professional goals. She is proud to influence the next generation of business leaders who will drive global, economic, and social progress.
